I can fish to open water.
I have an old school long cast and a set of 13ft Jim Gibbinson 3LB T/C Eclipse’s,
built on original British Harrison Brown Blanks, which will cast to the horizon.
However, I do like to sneak about in the bushes and the margins. Far From The
Madding Crowd.
Big Carp will always try to be where anglers are not.
Deep, warm, quiet margins, with cover and a little green stuff to play in makes
them very happy, indeed.
This hole in the hedge has been all but forgotten about by the Syndicate Members
on one of my waters.
The boys are all way too busy showing their tackle off to each other, comparing
Bivies and heaving massive Spomb’s of ‘Munga’ into the middle of the pond to
have noticed it.
On closer inspection on that warm, overcast day, I spotted a few very Fat Scaly
Lady’s waiting to be given Choky Cake & Attention.
All was well with the world on that particular night out with the girls.
TT.
